Grimfells is an SCA group located in the NorthWest corner of Arkansas (United States), mainly the 727XX zip code area (Fayetteville, Springdale, Rogers, Bella Vista, Bentonville, and surrounding areas). The Shire-March is also part of a larger group, the Kingdom of Calontir, which consists of NW Arkansas, Kansas, Missouri, Iowa, and Nebraska.
Grimfellers (more properly Grimfellons) prize strength, speed, and cunning, and will eat their young if they don't display these traits well enough to evade capture - however, they will let the doomed soon-to-be-entree's choose from among several barbeque or steak sauces, or a good lemon-pepper marinade, and will promise a hot charcoal fire (none of that propane stuff here).
History
Grimfells was originally part of the Kingdom of Meridies (the first SCA group in Arkansas), but was ceded to the Middle Kingdom in the Fall of A.S. XIII by His Majesty John the Bearkiller.
In March A.S. XXXVIII (2004) Sir Siridean, a knight who started his medieval life in this shire, became king of Calontir, then in May A.S. XLIII (2008) the Crown Prince of Lochac.
