Crossroads
Crossroads was an Australian Cooperative that was formed with the goal of creating a self-sustaining medieval village. It began in 1991 at the Crossroads site in Yass, near Canberra. A guild hall was its first building, built using medieval construction methods.
The land for Crossroads was sold in the 2010s. The hall was moved and became the home of King Theuderic II and Queen Engelin II, the 36th Crown of Lochac.
It was well known for its dust levels.
Crossroads and the SCA
The SCA used the site for the Rowany Festival for a couple of years in the early 2000s. While many SCA members were also members of the co-op and SCAdians offered their skills and time to improve the site, the two groups were independent.
The Shire of Torlyon was the closest SCA group to the site.
