Awards and Orders of Atlantia

The Kingdom of Atlantia currently has twenty six awards and orders active. For the purposes of the Order of Precedence the current orders are split into four groups: Orders of High Merit, Orders of Merit, Kingdom Orders and Awards and Youth Awards.
Orders of High Merit
Membership of these orders bestows a ranking between that of Landed Baronage and a Grant of Arms.
- The Academie d'Espee, Order of the White Scarf of Atlantia: Given for excellence in teaching and practice of rapier. Its badge is Argent, between two unicornate seahorses azure respectant, a pale azure.
- The Order of the Kraken: Given to those unbelted fighters who show excellence on the field. Its badge is Fieldless, a kraken or.
- The Order of the Sea Stag: Given for excellence in teaching the martial arts. Its badge is Azure, a stag's head argent, in base two tridents in saltire argent.
- The Order of the Yew Bow: Honors and recognizes those subjects who have distinguished themselves by their excellence with bow and arrow (both target and combat), thrown weapons, or siegecraft.
- The Order of the Pearl: Honors and recognizes those subjects of the Kingdom who have distinguished themselves by their efforts and willingness to teach other subjects of the Society the arts and sciences of the period, and/or their excellence in the arts and sciences of the period.
- The Order of the Golden Dolphin: Honors and recognizes those subjects of the Kingdom who have distinguished themselves by their exceptional service and leadership in the Kingdom of Atlantia.
Orders of Merit
Membership of these orders bestows a ranking that of an Award of Arms.
- The Order of the Sea Dragon: Given for effort and excellence in rapier.
- The Order of the Silver Osprey: Given to those unbelted fighters who show excellence on the field.
- The Order of the King's Missiliers: Given to those who show excellence in archery. Its badge is Azure, semy of arrows argent.
- The Order of the Coral Branch: Given to those who show excellence in the arts and sciences. Its badge is Argent, a coral branch inverted gules.
- The Order of the Opal: Given to those who prove themselves by service. Its badge is Argent, semy of lozenges azure.
- The Order of the Quintain: Honors and recognizes those who have distinguished themselves and shown excellence in the pursuit of equestrian activities, in service or valor.
Kingdom Orders and Awards
Membership of these orders or receipt of these awards bestow no rank for the purpose of the Order of Precedence.
- The Queen's Order of Courtesy: Given at the whim of the Queen for exemplary display of the chivalric ideal. Its badge is Fieldless, an escallop OR.
- Order of Nonpareil: This award honors and recognizes those who have shown excellence, honour, courtesy or chivalry above and beyond any duty. The members of this Order exemplify what it means to be an Atlantian. This award may be given only once per reign and is conveyed solely at the discretion of the Crown. Its badge is Or, a sword between four towers sable.
- The Shark's Tooth: Given by the Monarch (either the King or Queen) for exemplary skill at arms. Its badge is Fieldless, a shark's tooth natural.
- The Silver Nautilus: This award is the gift of the King and Queen jointly or individually to those who have distinguished themselves by an extraordinary achievement in the Arts and Sciences. Its badge is Fieldless, a nautilus shell argent.
- The Fountain: Recognizes and honors those who have performed acts of service for the Kingdom of Atlantia.
- King's Award of Excellence (KAE): Given at the whim of the King for any sort of excellence. Its badge is Or, the King's initial azure.
- The Undine: Given by the Queen for personal service. Its badge is Or, the Queen's initial azure.
- The Award of the Herring: Honors and recognizes those who have distinguished themselves by extraordinary achievement as autocrats.
- The Vexillum Atlantiae: Recognizes and honors groups who have performed acts of valor for the Kingdom of Atlantia.
Youth Awards
Membership of these orders or receipt of these awards bestow no rank for the purpose of the Order of Precedence.
- The Award of the Sea-Urchin: Given to young people (up to an including the age of 17) by the Crown in recognition of their contributions or good deeds to the Kingdom of Atlantia in service, martial activities and/or sciences. Its badge is Fieldless, a sea-urchin azure.
- The Order of the Hippocampus: Given to young people (up to an including the age of 17) by the Crown in recognition of their service and contributions to the Kingdom of Atlantia.
- The Order of the Sea Tyger: Given to young people (up to an including the age of 17) by the Crown in recognition of acts of valor and chivalry on the youth combat field.
- The Order of the Alcyon: Given to young people (up to an including the age of 17) by the Crown in recognition of their labors and achievements in arts and sciences.
- The Order of Arielle: Given to young people (up to an including the age of 17) by the Crown in recognition of their acts of courtesy.
- Royal Augmentation of Arms: Children under the age of 18 may be referred to as the Prince(ss) Royale during the reign of their parents. Flolowing the reign, the Crown may gift the children with a Royal Augmentation of Arms, an escallap purpure. This has no precendence beyond the reign of their parents.
