Order of the White Scarf of the Outlands

The Order of the White Scarf is an award given in the Kingdom of the Outlands, given by the Crown to those persons who have demonstrated extraordinary skill in the art of fence, meeting certain minimum requirements including proficiency in a variety of styles. Other qualifications include leadership, activity level, and teaching. Said individuals must also display unquestionable honor both on and off the field. The holders of this award shall be styled as Defenders of the White Scarf and may be addressed as Don or Dõna, and shall be entitled to place the initials initials D.W.S. after their names. This award also carries with it a Grant of Arms.

Blazon: Sable, on a pale argent between two rapiers proper, a stag’s antler vert.

On October 12, 1987 the first White Scarf treaty was signed between the Kingdoms of Ansteorra and the Outlands.
