The Barony of Aneala is an SCA branch in the Kingdom of Lochac. It currently encompasses part of the southern reaches of Western Australia.
Within this barony are the following:
- the College of St Basil the Great which is located at the University of Western Australia
- the proposed College of St Lazarus which is located at Murdoch University
- the Canton of Abertridwr which encompasses the suburbs of the Perth metropolitan area
- the proposed Canton of Aachenfeld which encompasses the northern suburbs of the Perth metropolitan area
- the proposed Canton of Vallon d'Or which is located in the Southwestern part of Western Australia, around Balingup and Bridgetown
History
At Twelfth Night, (AS XVII) Aneala was proclaimed a Shire and the inaugural Seneschal was Reynardine of Tara - source - http://www.florilegium.org/files/STORIES/Lochac-Chrnls-art.text
Aneala became a Marche Barony of the Kingdom of the West in A.S. XXI (1987), and its founding Baron and Baroness were Steveg and Rhianwen.
In 1989, the Barony of Aneala joined Lochac .
The current Baron and Baroness of Aneala are Kilic ibn Sungur ibn al-Kazganci al-Turhani and Branwen of Werchesvorde.
