The Barony of Selviergard is an SCA branch in the Principality of Oertha, Kingdom of the West. It consists geographically of the Matanuska Susitna Valley including much of the Alaska Range, bound on the south by the Knik River and on the north by Hurricane Gulch

Selviergard is the newest Barony in the Principality. In May, AS XXXVIII (2003), Selveirgard became a Barony, merging with the former Canton of Inbhir na Dà Abhann. The armory is that of the original Selviergard. Primarily of Viking traditions, Selviergard is host to many diverse peoples, being geographically between the Barony of Winter's Gate and the Barony of Eskalya.

The name was originally derived from a Scandinavian word meaning 'freehold' (not derived from 'silver guard' as legend might have it. Originally started by the Three True Trolls: Master Ulrik von Matanuska, (Haus VanDag), Shapur Abel Hassan el Hussein, and Flynx van Halen (father of the SCA group Rolling Thunder), with the help of our most gracious Mistress Piasa Dragonsaver, the group has since grown from a household to a full fledged Barony, complete with its own customs and history.

The Arms of the Barony are: Per fess gules and sable, atop the line of division a drakkar, mast stepped and oars in action, in base a laurel wreath Or.
