Western Martial Arts refers to the martial arts of (primarily) Europe.
These include a number of arts including various armed and unarmed styles.
Typically, but not always, these arts are devoid of the mystism associated with Eastern styles.
Due to pragmatism, these arts have evoved greatly in the face of advancing technologies. Thus many became relegated to history whilst others evolved into various martial sport such as fencing and modern boxing.
