The Barony of Ben Dunfirth is a barony in the Kingdom of Ealdormere, comvering the city of Hamilton and the surrounding counties.
Ben Dunfirth hosts the popular event Murder Melee in the Meadow each year.
History
Originally a canton of the Barony of Septentria (then a territory of the Midrealm), Ben Dunfirth was officially founded in A.S. XVIII. As detailed in The History of Ben Dunfirth, a previous SCA group called New Farthing (with comparable membership) had existed in the area, only to have their charter revoked after a "coup".
The canton of Ben Dunfirth changed fealty to the Barony of Rising Waters in A.S. XXIII, and became a full Barony in A.S. XXIX.
