Code of conduct

There is a romantic notion that knights had to follow a defined code of conduct in period. This code set down the chivalric rules and virtues that they must adhere to and seek to achieve.

The SCA has its operational rules (including the Rules of the List for conduct on the field of combat) but it also has various customs that many follow, e.g. acknowledging the presence of royalty.
