In Heraldry, line divisions are the ways in which a device can be divided using lines.
- Per fess
- Per saltire
- Per pale
- Quarterly (or per cross)
- Per chevron
- Per bend
- Per bend sinister
- Per pall
- Per pall, reversed
Decorated Line Divisions
The lines in a line division or an ordinary can be ornamented in the following styles:
