Before the arrival of the Order of Defense, a Quadruple Peer meant someone who had been elevated to the three bestowed Peerages, and was also a Royal Peer.

Quadruple peers are extremely rare, as they must have demonstrated not only martial prowess in two distinct fields - heavy fighting and fencing (the Chivalry and Defense), exemplary service to the Society (the Pelicans), and excellence in arts and sciences (the Laurels).

You may hear or see a quadruple peer being referred to as Master Master Master Sir NAME or Mistress Mistress Mistress Sir NAME. (See title stacking)
