England had three queens named Eleanor.
- Eleanor of Aquitaine, who was wife of Henry II, and mother of Henry the Young King, Richard I, and John. She was the daughter of William, Duke of Aquitaine, and had previously been wife of Louis VII of France, with whom she had no children, but a somewhat stormy annulment. She lived between c.1121 and 1204.
- Eleanor of Provence, who was wife of Henry III and mother of Edward I. She was the daughter of Raymond Berenger, Count of Provence, and lived between 1222 and 1291. Her sister, Marguerite, became Queen of France, marrying Louis IX. Eleanor also had 2 daughters by Edward, Margaret and Beatrice, and a son, Edmund.
- Eleanor of Castile, who was wife to Edward I and mother of Edward II. She was the daughter of Ferdinand of Castile and lived between 1244 and 1290.
It may also be worth noting that Henry III had a daughter Eleanor, who married the younger Simon de Montfort; and the two had a daughter Eleanor who married Llewelyn the Last, Prince of Wales, and died in childbirth.
