A Symposium is a Known World-level event that focuses on a specific area of the SCA. For instance, a Known World Dance Symposium is held each year. There are Symposia on such wide-ranging topics as Rattan Fighting and Cooking. Often, groups of officers will meet at a Symposium -- such as seneschals, reeves and exchequers, and heralds.
The 2006 Known World Heraldic and Scribal Symposium will be held June 16-18, 2006 in New Orleans, Louisiana. It is being hosted by the Gleann Abhann College of Heralds.
