Sultana

The sultana, in period, was a semi-dried Turkish grape; today it is simply a raisin which has been treated to resemble the old sultana. Its name comes from the feminine form of the Turkish title "sultan", since a sultan's wives were supposed to be the chief consumers of the grapes.
