A nasal helm is a helm that does not have substantial protection for the face, except for a strip of metal that extends down from the top of the helm over the nose. Hence, it provides nasal protection but otherwise is considered open-faced.

There may also be partial covering of the cheeks from the side of the helm but the mouth and chin are unprotected.
