Mugwort (Artemisia vulgaris) is an aromatic perennial herb native to southern Europe and Asia. It has red-purple stems and dark green leaves of 5-8 centimetres in length.

Mugwort was most often grown for its medicinal applications as a diuretic, although its bitter taste does have some culinary application.
