Chemise

A chemise is an undergarment worn under clothing. In the SCA it is usually associated with women's garb; but in period men wore shirts for the same function. A chemise could be a simple tunic or have gathered sleeves and a tailored neckline. Some chemises were decorated with trim and embroidery.
