The Barony was founded in 1970 as "The Barony of Norfolk, Suffolk, and Middlesex", and has a rich and well-documented history.

• February 13, 1971 - First "Carolingian" event (St. Valentine's Day Revel)
• May 1, 1971 - First Carolingian tournament (May Day Tournament and Revel)
• October 7, 1971 - Lord John of Isleway is chosen as the new Baron.
