Geography
The area of Poland is 312,683km making it the 69th largest country in the world. The central parts are of the north lay upon the European Lowlands. High above the lowlands are a number of locked-in lakes that were formed during the Pleistocene Ice Age. All of these lakes are parts of what is called the Pomeranian Lake district, the Greater Polish Lake District, the Kashubian Lake District, and the Masurian Lake District. The coast is formed of many Dunes, old bays (now coastal lakes), and lagoons. South of these lowlands are the provinces of Mazovia and Silesia which are sarrounded by ice age river valleys. Farther south are the great Polish mountain region which make up the border of Poland.
World War 2
The invasion of Poland made by supreme dictator, Adolf Hitler shocked the world with suprisment and amazment. But what shock the world even more was when Russia helped Germany invade the country to. Then when peace was decited Poland was split in two, half was controled by Germany, the other Russia. Though the Germans did kill much of the population the war was not a complete faliure, because they gained more land than what they had before.
Which now brings us to the conclusion, after the war they were put into the state that they are now and will hopefully never change. I hope you enjoyed this article and please tell your friends about us. HAVE A GREAT DAY!
