Trestle tables

Trestle tables consist of a board or boards linked together to form a flat surface. This board is then set upon a number of legs that typically fold away. Historically it seems the majority of these trestles had three legs for stability.

Such tables seem to appear in both high and low ranking homes in the middle ages.
