An Order of High Merit is an award given within the SCA that carries precedence.
- In the East Kingdom there are five orders that carry High Merit. This award has two characteristics; it carries an Award of Arms, if the person receiving the award does not already have higher precedence and it is a polling order.
- In the Kingdom of Atlantia there are six Orders that carry High Merit. However the characteristics are slightly different from the East Kingdom in that they carry a Grant of Arms instead of an Award of Arms (if the person receiving the award does not already have higher precedence). It is also a polling order.
