In SCA Heraldry, certain charges are not permitted, owing to offensive connotations, historical presumption, or modern trademark infringement.

The official list is small, but it does not mean a charge or emblazon not on the list won't be rejected for similar problems. A similar category is reserved charges, a set of heraldic charges that are restricted except for limited usage. For example, a laurel wreath may only be used in armory for SCA groups.
