Le Roman de Perceval mentions that King Arthur keeps a fool. He makes several minor predictions about the future which seem to be at least half believed. He prdicts that a girl who never laughs will not laugh until she meets the greatest knight in the kingdom, and predicts that Kay will have a broken arm within the fortnight. Both of these predictions prove true.
