Bargain Stores are the joy of every true SCAdian's life. Stores such as Goodwill, Value Village and others which specialize in reselling used clothes, sporting equipment and household goods are often the source for feast gear, armour parts and even garb. Items like tankards, plates, cutlery and glassware are easy to come by at these stores, and many happy hours can be spent buying used modern items cheaply before turning them into "medieval" goods.

This has led to the practice of, every few months, "doing the tour"; hitting every bargain store in the Ontario suburb of London, starting from the west end and heading counterclockwise around the perimeter of the city before ending up at the large regional Value Village store on Wellington Road.
