A dry site is an event where no alcohol is permitted (soft drinks only), usually due to legal restrictions on the site itself, or in the interests of better representing the SCA as a whole; Demos are always dry, for instance.
Note: Do not bring or consume alcohol at a dry event, or you will be asked to leave, which is highly embarrassing.
