At the inception of the College of Saint Crispin, before its name was decided, a tournament was held to make that decision. Ragnar I, 27th Prince of Lochac, was victorious in that tournament. Prince Ragnar gave to the then Seneschal of the College, Lady Helene du Puy, the choice of Saint Crispin or Saint Olaf. Lady Helene chose Saint Crispin, and lo it was such that the 13th College of Lochac gained this name |

The College of St Crispin is the SCA group at the University of Newcastle in Newcastle, Australia.
Current officers of the college are:

Heraldry
The arms of the College of St Crispin are Azure, a sea-horse within a laurel wreath and on a chief invected argent three lymphads gules.

The hippocampus represents the University of Newcastle, as seen in the arms of the university.
