The Barony of Carolingia is an SCA branch located in the central region of the Kingdom of the East. Mundanely it represents Boston, Massachusetts, and the surrounding areas. The current Baron is Jehan du Lac.
Its device is: Azure, a pall wavy or. (Carolingian Arms)
History
The Barony was founded in 1970 as "The Barony of Norfolk, Suffolk, and Middlesex", and has a rich and well-documented history.
- February 13, A.S. V - First "Carolingian" event (St. Valentine's Day Revel)
- May 1, A.S. VI - First Carolingian tournament (May Day Tournament and Revel)
- October 7, A.S. VI - Lord John of Isleway is chosen as the new Baron.
