A normal SCA meeting tends to be an informal occurrence, ungarbed, and often at a member's house or a group's local meeting place. These meetings tend to have a theme, such as general arts & sciences, sewing, dancing, cooking, brewing, calligraphy and illumination, or heraldry. Sometimes, meetings are called so a group can work together on a project/s of any size. Sometimes, they are merely social get-togethers.
The regular meetings tend to be pre-advertised in the associated newsletter. They tend to be free or just cost attendees a small amount when compared to larger events like collegia, feasts or tournaments.
