Tassilon Fan Club

The Tassilon Fan Club is a legendary shenanigan which was conducted by some members of the College of St Monica, beginning in 2024.

Part 1: A misspoken comment

One fine day on the Combined Colleges Discord server, Tassilon, an ordinary member of the College of St Monica, made a comment which set this entire thing off.

"huge win for the Tassilon fandom: skinned some of two leather armchairs (only got the bits that were in good conition afaict...."

To which Ollivier Le Floch replied "Are there membership cards for the Tassilon fandom?"

The "Tassilon fandom" kept coming up in comments, and a few months later, Tassilon made a thread on the Discord and started posting "Tassilon Fandom Reports".

Things would have stayed that way, were it not for known sensible individual, Rúna Keiliselgr...

Part 2: Tassilon Fan Club Cards and the inaugural TassilCon

At a royal event towards the end of 2024, it was noticed that the Monican collegians were behaving very strangely. Groups of them would walk up to various event attendees -mostly members of the Barony of Krae Glas or the Barony of Stormhold and mysteriously ask if the person was "a fan of Tassilon". Upon the person somewhat confusedly replying that they were (I guess?), they would be presented with a Tassilon Fan Club Card, which had their name and heraldry (shabbily drawn and coloured in) already written on it. It also had a Tassilon Fan Club number listed, implying that the person was a fan even before they knew they were. This seemed to amuse the Monicans greatly, although it is unclear why.

Even the then king and queen of Lochac, Bain of Stornoway and Iglesia Delamere, were seen to be fans of Tassilon, with their own club cards! It was truly strange.

After all of the cards had been distributed, it was announced that there would be a Tassilon Meet & Greet, where fans could actually meet with THE Tassilon! Some fans were said to have lost their minds a little in their excitement. Tassilon was seen signing the head of Leif Magnusson (Baron of Stormhold at the time)!!!

The merriment of this event also lead to a rehashing of a rather famous argument about the loyalty of one Rúna Keiliselgr, former seneschal of St Monica, and the later creation of the play Double Double Tassil-Trouble.

Part X: Rowany Festival Tassilon Meet & Greet

Where to go with a bit, but to Rowany Festival? In 2025, posters appeared at Rowany Festival advertising a Tassilon Meet & Greet by listing quotes from some very familiar names...

Part X: Tassilon Trivia - a bit which has gotten rather out of hand

At ICW in 2026 one item added to the timetable was "Tassilon Trivia".
