In heraldry, a Passion Cross is a cross whose lower limb is extended. It is called a Passion Cross in reference to the Crucifiction of Jesus. It is also sometimes called a long cross or Latin cross. Because of its overt religious symbolism it is generally frowned on in SCA heraldry.
