Lovage (Levisticum officinale) is a perennial herb native to southern Europe. It can grow over a metre in height, and resembles celery. Its leaves are used for culinary purposes, while the root and leaves are both used for their medicinal properties.

Lovage is propagated by division of roots or by seeds. It prefers rich moist, but well-drained soil.
