A fleam as it appears on the SCA Chirugeon's badge.

A Fleam is an heraldic device representing a tool similar to a razor. Fleams were used primarily for bloodletting in period, and a fleam and cup would have been a common tool for any medieval surgeon.

In the SCA, the fleam is a reserved charge. It is only allowed to be used as a badge for chirurgeons.
