An estoc (also foining sword or tuck(English term)) is a long bladed sword designed primarily for thrusting attack. Introduced in the latter part of the 14th century, an estoc could have a triangular cross section helping to prevent the blade from flexing during a thrust.

The estoc was apparently quite popular in the 16th century were examples become similar in length to rapiers.
