Welcome to Cunnan. We hope that you will stay a while and help us make this Wiki a more useful resource. Remember that no-one owns Cunnan and all pages can be edited by all users. So feel free to update what others have written, and be prepared to see others do the same to your work!

Getting started

Before you start editing you should consider signing up for an account. This is optional but it alllows your contributions to be attributed to you. You should see the page on how_to_Log_in for help.

The most important things you need to understand are how to open a page for editing and how to create links within those pages.

If you click "Edit this page", at the bottom of any page, your browser will open that page for editing. To create links within a page you are editing simply surround one or more words with square brackets [[Like This]]

Lots of words on Cunnan will appear in red (e.g. This page doesn't exist) This means that there is a link to a page that doesn't exist yet. Simply click on the link and the page will be created and opened for editing.

Thats all there is to it! You should now be able to add information to existing pages and create new ones. For more detailed information take a look at the how to edit pages article.

Note: You have to follow a link to create a new page. This prevents people from creating orphan pages - pages which have nothing linking to them. If you want to create a topic that nothing links to yet, you should add it to the index on the main page. Alternatively, create new links to it from the appropriate pages.

Getting Help

If you get stuck then take a look at the help page. Many common questions are answered there.

The best way to get help for things not covered on the Help page is the village pump. If you leave a question there people will be sure to answer as best they can.

You can find out who the administrators are on the administrators page. Please remember that they're only human, and it can take a while for a response. If an admin has their e-mail address listed here, then they are happy for people to e-mail them with questions about Cunnan, but flooding them with multiple questions without waiting for a response is bad form.
