The Manesse Codex (Grosse Heidelberger Liederhandschrift) is a book in Middle High German copied and illustrated between 1305-1340 in Zurich, Austria. It includes various songs from minnesingers as well as pictorial representations of the poets as knights adorned in their heraldic arms.
