Bard of Lochac
The Bard of Lochac
The Bard of Lochac is an unoffical title in the Kingdom of Lochac that is traditionally bestowed by the previous holder. The new recipient is tasked to pass it on "in a year and a day" to someone who inspires them in the Bardic Arts, though usually the actual timeline isn't that precise. Often the handover has occurred at Rowany Festival, either in court or during the Boars Head Tavern event, but this is not always the case.
The Token
The original token was a bracelet that came from the Kingdom of the West, and was said to have belonged to the Bard of the West of that time. It arrived in the (then) Principality of Lochac in XXXVI (2001-2002), shortly before it became a kingdom. It was made by twisting three strands, one gold, one silver, and one copper, into an open bracelet, with animal heads on the ends.
Unfortunately the original token was lost, and a replacement bracelet was made of a silver metal.
