Canadais a chunk of territory north of the (current) United States annexed from the indigenous population by the Colonial British, and, later, to stop the Brits killing everyone, also some enterprising French explorers.
Canada possessed of no medieval significance, other than being sighted by Leif Ericson, but by the 16th century Newfoundland became an important fishing area.
