BENES YFRYED. XX.IX. I.
Take benes and seeþ hem almost til þey bersten. take and wryng out þer water clene. do þerto Oynouns ysode and ymynced. and garlec þerwith. frye hem in oile. oþer in grece. & do þerto powdour douce. & serue it forth.

  1. Simmer beans in stock for about and hour or until nearly soft.
  2. Fry onion and garlic and add and simmer for another 20-30 minutes until beans are really soft
  3. Add Powder Douce and serve
