Original Source

Season tuna with ground pepper, cinnamon, and coriander, onion cooked and cut up, vinegar, honey and oil. (Bartolomeo Sacchi a.k.a Platina, De honesta voluptate et valetudine "On Right Pleasure and Good Health", ca 1465, translated by Mary Ella Milham)

Modern Redaction

Sprinkle the tuna with cinnamon and pepper. Coarsly grind the coriander and whisk together with the oil, honey, and vinegar. Sauté lightly and set aside. Broil, grill, or pan-sear the tuna to your liking. Slice the tuna into strips, and top with the fried onions and honey dressing.
