First Course

- wholemeal wheaten bread and rye bread (from our own oven)
- spiced mushrooms (for vegetarians)
Second Course
- Chicken stew - with wine, broad beans, fresh coriander, and mint
- roast carrots
- frumenty
- sausages
- yeast-raised pancakes
- fresh cheese drizzled wih honey
- pears in mead with stewed dried cherries
Notes
This feast used ingredients mentioned in archeological sources, but the recipes are largely conjectural.
