Tableware refers to items that were used in dining. These might include cutlery, or items that were used to eat off, drink from or serve food.

A lot of medieval tableware was made from organic materials such as wood, or horn. Pottery wares were also extremely common. Much less common (especially early in the medieval period), were goods made from pewter, silver, glass or gold.
