Yeast nutrient is a collection of nutrients specifically designed to feed yeast. Ingredients may vary, but usually include diammonium phosphate and food grade urea (Yum!). Yeast nutrients are particularly useful for making meads from commercially bought honey, as most honeys have been pasteurised.
