Traditionally heroic meter was in Dactylic Hexameter, i.e each line contains six metric feet, which are dactyls. Other meters which are considered heroic are Iambic Pentameter and the Alexandrine (Iambic Hexameter). In heroic verse these are usually arranged in rhyming couplets.
