Outremer, meaning "Land over (or beyond) the Sea", was the poetic name used for the Kingdom of Jerusalem and the associated Crusader states by the European kingdoms during the Crusader period. In a modern context it is used to refer to the overseas holdings of France.
It was also a mooted name for Lochac when it was accepted into the SCA.
