Vikings Exhibition

Vikings exhibition at the Australian National Maritime Museum focusing on the Vikings of Scandanavia and their interactions with various other nations.

Contains a number of original pieces including the Mammen Axe, and two Lewis Chess pieces and also reproductions of original artefacts including helmets, weapons, clothing and household many of which were made in Australia.

It runs from the 30th of November 2005 until the 18th of June 2006 after which it will move to a maritime museum in Auckland until the end of 2006 (estimated).
