In heraldry, a charge which is fimbriated has and outline of another tincture. Only simple geometric charges may be fimbriated, and in SCA heraldry that charge must be in the centre of the field.

Fimbriation is often used to allow a metal charge on a metal field, or a colour charge on a colour field.
