Spectacle helmet

The spectacle helm is a multiplate, round bowled helmet that sported a spectactle like set of occulars to protect the eye sockets and allow vision. Commonly associated with Vikings.

Most famous example is the Gjermundbu helmet. Vendel helmets can have very similar constructions.
