Anisum

This herbe is called Anyse, the vertue of this herbe is this, it unbindeth the stopping of the lyver, and of evell wyndes and of greate humours that encloseth the milt. Also it stereth a man to make water & to swete, also this herbe maketh a mans wombe laxative if it be hard, and the sede beyng parched, or rosted in all maner medecines, than it wil worke the rather, this herbe is hoote and drye in the second degre.
