Indulf was the son of Constantine II. He ruled first in Strathclyde from 945 to 954CE and then succeeded to the throne of Scotland and ruled from 954 to 962. when he was killed in battle with the Danes.
He married, but history knows no more of his wife, nor of three of his sons, who died violently. A fourth son, Cuilean, was to take the Scots throne, after a cousin, Dubh, also died violently (something which history would blame on Cuilean).
