A sword like object (SLO) is a derogatory term used to describe weapons (particularly swords) that have the form, but not function as a fighting weapon. Also known as a "wall-hanger".
Typically these items are overly heavy, have blunt or machine ground edges, fantastical embellishments or blades and are made of materials that are not suitable for combat blades eg. stainless steel.
